Harry E. McKillop (1922 – 2014)

McKILLOP, Harry E. Harry E. McKillop, of McKinney, passed away peacefully at home 11/7/14 with his wife and family by his side. Born in New York City 1/2/22 to Harry and Cecilia McKillop. He served as a naval officer in the South Pacific during World War II. His lifelong career in the aviation industry was accompanied by a devotion to helping others through humanitarian missions around the world. He was a passionate family man who loved history, especially surrounding his Irish roots. Harry is survived by his wife of 27 years, Rebecca Sue, and their daughters, Mary (Seth) and Tory, six children from his first marriage, Linda, Laurie, Jeff, Wayne (Mary), Allison, and Tracy, as well as 22 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 17 nieces and nephews, and his siblings, Carol and Donald. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lucille, and his brother, Tom. Visitation at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow in Allen on Tuesday, 11/11/14, from 6-8pm. Funeral Mass with Rosary at St. Michael the Archangel in McKinney on Wednesday, 11/12/14, at 1pm. Interment to follow at Pecan Grove Historic Cemetery.
