Ellen (Harris) Price passed away on November 3, 2014. She was a resident of Colorado Springs several times, retiring here 40 years ago. Ellen was born March 8, 1925 in Houston, Texas and was raised in Dallas with her parents, Y.T. and Bess Harris and sisters, Maureen and Jane. Ellen traveled and lived all over the world as an Air Force wife with her husband, children, and wonderful boxer dogs, Spike ad Sean. Ellen loved horses and dogs. In Ellen’s youth she became a trick-rope-rider and calf roper in rodeos. She went on to be pre-med in college at the University of Texas, but left for a career as a flight attendant with Braniff Airlines traveling extensively throughout South America. She worked briefly as an assistant to an architect when she met and married her husband Jim. When her children were growing up they had three horses that traveled with them across the United States. In her retirement she was a Mary Kay representative. She loved antiquing and restoring antique furniture, making wool-hook rugs, needlepoint and shopping. Ellen had a wonderful sense of humor, quick wit and countless Southern sayings.

Ellen was very much loved and will be greatly missed by all.
