Mary Frances Culwell “Fran” Jamieson (1925 – 2015)
JAMIESON, Mary Frances Culwell “Fran” Fran Jamieson passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on August 17, 2015. She was born on January 9, 1925 in Dallas, and was raised in Kansas City, MO. Her early career was as a flight attendant for Braniff Airways in the “glory days” of air travel. She met her husband Bruce on a blind date and they married in 1947. Later, she was an associate with Ebby Halliday Realtors for many years. Fran was blessed with many talents and interests. She was an accomplished oil painter, an avid reader and a skilled duplicate bridge player. Fran also enjoyed quilting, sewing, needlework, and entertaining friends in her home. She travelled extensively to many international destinations with Bruce and close friends. She was a lifelong member and past president of the Canterbury Book Club, a member of Northwood Woman’s Club for 25 years, and a former member of the Clipped B’s. A loving wife, mother and friend, she will be missed by many. Fran is preceded in death by her parents, Stella and Otis Culwell, and brother Charles Culwell. She is survived by her husband Bruce, daughter Laura Williamson and her husband Don, granddaughters Katie Williamson and Lisa Crane and her husband Robert, and great-grandson William Crane. Friends are invited to join the family in a Celebration of Life to be held on Thursday, August 20 in the chapel at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, 9800 Preston Road, Dallas at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to NWC Charitable Fund, P.O. Box 796155, Dallas 75379-6155 or the charity of your choice .
