Ellen Jackson Donley 1925 – 2014

Ellen Jackson Donley, 88, of Fulton, Missouri, peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2014.
She was born on December 10, 1925, in Perryton, Texas to Sidney Barton and Lena Anderson Jackson and they preceded her in death.
Ellen graduated from Wellington High School in Wellington, Texas and attended North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. She had a brief career as a Braniff Airline stewardess until her marriage to John “Jack” Donley on September 24, 1949, in Dallas, Texas.
She was a faithful member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Fulton where she served as a member of the Alter Guild and she was very active in the life of the Episcopal Diocese of Missouri.
Ellen is survived by children, John (Laurie) Donley Jr. of Seabrook, Texas, Deborah (Keith) Simmons of Herndon, Virginia and Lucy (Pat) Kirby of Fulton, Missouri; sister, Edyth Jackson of Amarillo, Texas; brother-in-law, Boyd Derryberry of Amarillo, Texas; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and many other loving family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack; brother, Sidney Barton Jackson Jr.; sisters, Leigh Clothier, Irene Readnour and Ruth Derryberry.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Fulton.
