LIPITZ, Norman Norman Lipitz, husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, passed away August 31, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. He was a decorated WWII veteran, paratrooper, and a recipient of both thePurple Heart and the Bronze Star military awards. He was among the first American soldiers to reach the concentration camps in Germany and helped free and care for the remaining survivors. Norman was born in Brooklyn, New York to Helen and Milton Lipitz. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Cindy, daughter Eileen, son Richard, and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by twin sons Jerry and Milton. He is also survived by his beloved Maltipoos, Koleigh, Jake, Luke and Nicky who will miss him terribly. Professionally, he was a successful manufacturer’s representative for the Leslie Fay Corporation. His greatest joys were a round of golf, a nice dinner, and date night with his wife Cindy on Saturday evenings. Private services were held September 3, 2014 at Sparkman Hillcrest. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite local animal shelter.
