Mary Louise Immenschuh 1928 – 2015

1928 – 2015

Mary Louise Immenschuh, our loving mother, sister and friend, died at Kansas City Hospice House on June 10, 2015. She was 87. Born in MN in 1928, she made Kansas her home for nearly 60 years by marrying Max Immenschuh in 1953 and raising three children together. She was a proud supporter of her children and grandchildren’s events and schools, an enthusiastic gardener, birder and Royals fan. She served as a Girl Scout leader, provided meals for her church outreach programs, and sponsored a child in Guatemala. She especially loved being a “Clipped B”, an organization for retired Braniff Airline flight hostesses. Reading, walks & tennis and lots of hot coffee with friends after Mass kept her busy between travel adventures. Mary Lou will be remembered for her sunny smile, giving heart and the deep joy she found in nature, at church and in gatherings of her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Max. She is survived by her cherished brother Fred (Mary) Hagen of Birmingham MI, son Kent Immenschuh and daughter-in- law Carol Immenschuh, daughters Carole (Fred) Schroeder and Jane (Ron) Johnson, and her grandchildren Sarah (Dave) Brawner, Laura Immenschuh, Will and Marc Schroeder. Services will be at held at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, KS on Saturday, June 13. Visitation with family at 9:15am followed by a 10:00am Mass. The family suggests a memorial donation to Catholic Charities or Kansas City Hospice House. Mt Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home & Cemetery. Dignity Memorial.
